Do you decide to start a good habit, or lose weight, or maybe you want to change your behavior with others by using logic, but after a very short time, you lose your motivation and stop?
You’ve probably made this positive initial decision logically, and after thinking for a while, you’ve concluded that, for example, smoking is bad for your health, and by quitting, you’ll be able to take a big step toward maintaining your health, but why? After a while, you lose all your motivation and your decision is stopped?
Does this seem familiar to you and those around you?
How many times have you tried to convince others or yourself logically But you didn’t get any results?
How many times have you consciously tried to change your life, but after a short time you have lost your passion and motivation?
The good news for you is that this happens to everyone! Many people try to motivate themselves or others logically but fail miserably at achieving their goals and desires. The reason is simple. The sense of motivation comes from the subconscious mind, and the subconscious mind doesn’t pay much attention to logic! It works in its way.
The subconscious mind does not care about logic
Are you afraid of spiders?
Do you know anyone afraid of spiders or cats or even chickens?!
From a logical point of view, many spiders are not dangerous or poisonous and pose no danger to humans (especially small species).
So why are so many people afraid of spiders? If we forget the spiders, we all know that a chicken can certainly do no harm to humans and is even very vulnerable. So why are so many people still afraid of chickens?!
There are many reasons for this, but none of these are logical. The subconscious mind controls emotional change based on its own beliefs. Those beliefs may not be logical at all, but they can still control a person’s moods and behaviors.
Now, when it comes to motivating production, there are similar rules. The subconscious mind will never motivate you before the following points are observed:
- He likes your plans
- Believe that your plans work
- Believe that you can execute that map well
- Trust you (for example, by cheating on the test, your subconscious mind will find that you are trying to deceive it, and later you will find it harder to create an inner motivation).
- Believe that you do not intend to delay or stop your plan for any reason
As you can see, there are several things to keep in mind before the subconscious mind motivates you and accompanies you.
That’s why you can never use logic to motivate yourself or others.
How to use logic correctly?
But what is the right way to negotiate with your own or others’ subconscious and generate motivation?
Here is a method that will work for you. First of all, you need to understand the concerns of the subconscious mind and its conflicting beliefs.
For example, if you find that your subconscious mind does not believe in your plan to achieve your goals, it is enough to explain to yourself (or your subconscious mind) exactly why the new plan you have drawn up to achieve the goal will work.
As we’ve said in many articles, the subconscious mind works just like a separate, independent person who is worried about you and wants the best for you (although sometimes he makes the mistake of finding the best). However, this person is the one who can control all the emotions produced in you, including the sense of motivation.
Note that any attempt to deceive yourself will simply not be forgiven by the subconscious mind! Your subconscious mind is always wondering if you are deceiving yourself. If you are just saying baseless and meaningless sentences to motivate yourself or others, you will simply lose the confidence of your subconscious mind and you will not be able to motivate yourself later and your work will be harder.
Change and improve your map or prove to your subconscious mind that your plan is valuable and efficient. In this way, you will quickly see that you have great motivation in yourself.
